Welcome.

I’m Michelle Scrimgeour-Brown. I work with thoughtful, spiritually curious people who feel alienated by both mainstream culture and fringe spirituality.

I work with a very small number of clients at a time to ensure depth and sustainability. Our work integrates nervous system awareness, meaning-making, and intuitive reflection. All without dogma or conspiracy thinking.

What I Believe / What I Don’t Believe

A few things I hold to be true, and a few thing I don’t.

What I do I believe:

  • Being seen as you heal matters because human beings are interconnected and interdependent.
  • The work begins with you, and integrates as you interact with the the world around you and the people in it.
  • Ignoring or denying what you have lived through prolongs the healing process.
  • Spiritual experience can be real without being anti-science. In fact, I see science as very spiritual.
  • Instincts and intuition matter but they are not infallible.
  • Slow, steady work supports the nervous system as you create lasting shifts and meaningful change.

What I don’t believe:

  • I don’t believe in bypassing trauma with “high vibration” language.
  • I don’t believe in conspiracy-driven spirituality
  • I don’t believe that you need to reject science to value energy.
  • I don’t believe suffering means you’re failing spiritually, that a part of you wants what’s happening or that you still have something to learn before you can move forward.
  • I don’t believe everything happens for a reason
  • I don’t believe in “good” or “bad” emotions or feelings.
  • I don’t believe where you are is because of any moral fault or failing.

What this looks like in practice…

I work with thoughtful, self-aware people who feel emotionally overwhelmed but intellectually skeptical of extreme solutions.

You may feel spiritually curious but wary of dogma.
You may feel capable on the outside and disoriented on the inside.
You may be tired of spaces that feel either overly clinical or overly chaotic.

If that sounds like you, know that our work is conversational, reflective, and grounded. We look at patterns of behaviour and thought. Not to pathologize you, but to understand what your nervous system learned. This awareness is the first step towards meaningful change.

Together we will:
We make sense of your experience.
We slow things down.
We integrate rather than override.

I may bring intuitive reflection into the space, but I do not position myself as an authority over your life.

About Michelle

My background includes experience in energy-based modalities, nervous system awareness, and reflective integration work.

Since 2010 I have been practicing somatic healing techniques, knowing that the mind-body connection is real and that for true mental health to occur, the interaction between the two must be repaired.

In 2014 I was ordained as a Metaphysical minister. While my work is not religious in structure, it is informed by that foundation of presence and responsibility.

Over time, my approach has become increasingly grounded, psychologically informed, and intentionally small-scale.
